I planned this ice cream cone.

In advance.

I enjoyed every damn lick, every decadent bite.

No drama. No guilt. Pure pleasure.

When you master the MIND DRAMA around food…

(Ie, “I shouldn’t eat this, I shouldn’t eat this, I shouldn’t eat this” …..
“I shouldn’t have eaten that, I shouldn’t have eaten that, I shouldn’t have eaten that”)

…and you DECIDE what you’re going to eat ahead of time, you stop responding from a place of DESIRE that comes “in the moment.” Because for some of us, those “in the moment” responses trigger us to OVERindulge (binge, give up, eat too much), which makes us carry around guilt and regret later.

Not fun.

Mind drama.

But when you plan ahead, you DECIDE exactly what you’re going to do, and you DO it.

 You’re in control.

 You feel empowered.

 You know you’ve got this.

On this day, I planned my ice cream cone before I left the house in the morning. It was my way of capping off 10+ glorious miles of hiking.

I hiked.
I had an ice cream cone.
I went home.

No guilt. No remorse. No drama.
